MIL-DTL-5015
MS3100 ThruMS3108 Connectors meet the latest performance requirements ofMIL-DTL-5015.

These connectors representwell-proven electrical capability at an acceptable cost for mostequipment where durability is important. MIL-DTL-5015 features threadedcouplings and single key/keyway polarization, representing maximumsimplicity in design. Applications include military ground support
equipment, ordnance and shipboard installations. There are five classesof connectors to meet different requirements. Class designations andbrief descriptions are as follows:

  • A – Solid Shell – for general,non-environmental applications.
  • C – Pressurized – for use on pressurizedbulkheads or pressure barriers; limits air leakage regardless of typeand class of plug mated with them.
  • E/F –Environmental Resisting with Strain Relief–designed for applications where the connector will be exposed tomoisture, vibration, and rapid
    changes in pressure and temperature.
  • R – Lightweight Environmental Resisting –shorter in length and lighter in weight than the E and F classes, theMS-R offers a high degree of reliability under adverse conditions:recommended for new design applications.

MIL-DTL-5015
MS3400 ThruMS3406 Front Release Connectors and MS3450 Thru MS3456 Rear ReleaseConnectors meet the latest performance requirements ofMIL-DTL-5015.

This series provides an alternative to the older MIL-DTL-5015 solder type. It bridges the gap between an old connector standard and the environmental and high performance needs of current technologies.

  • Medium to heavy weight cylindrical
  • MS345( ) series intermateable with existing MIL-C-5015
solder or crimp versions on existing equipment
  • Captive coupling nut mechanism, utilizes retaining rings in
combination with “L” washers to prevent inadvertent disassembly
  • Multiple interlock systems ensure permanent insert retention
  • Positive control of dielectric separation with guaranteed
    ease of contact insertion
  • Positive contact retention provided by a closely toleranced
    damage-proof metal retention clip
  • Completely sealed against environmental extremes with:
  • individual contact seals (conical risers on pin interface)
  • interfacial seals between contact
  • peripheral gasket shell-to-shell seal
  • redundant rear wire seals and insert-to-shell seals

MIL-DTL-26482MIL-DTL-26482Series 1, 2 & 3 Connector prefixes include: MS3110,MS3111, MS3112, MS3114, MS3116, MS3120, MS3121, MS3122, MS3124, MS3126,MS3470, MS3471, MS3474, MS3476, MS3475,

MIL-DTL-26482 Series 2, bayonet coupling, rear-removable crimp contact connectors were designed as an upgrade to MIL-DTL-26482 Series 1. Series 2 connectors are intermountable and interchangeable with both solder and front-release crimp Series 1.

  • Closed-Entry Socket Insert – Hard dielectricsocket face
has lead-in chamfers for positive alignment of pins (even
partially bent within pre-established limits) with sockets.
  • Interfacial Pin Insert Seal – Raised moisturebarriers
around each pin, which mate into lead-in chamfers of hard
face socket insert, provide individual contact sealing.
Interfacial seal is never touched by service tools.
  • Elastomer Wire Sealing Grommet – Sealing over awide
range of wire diameters is assured by a triple wire seal in
each cavity at the rear of the connector.
  • Superior Contact Stability – Rear release crimpcontact
system features a stamped beryllium-copper retaining clip
captivated by molded-in shoulders of each contact cavity in
the insulator. A rear-inserted M81969 plastic tool expands
the tines beyond the shoulder, releasing the contact.

IL-DTL-38999MIL-DTL-38999Series 1, 2, 3 Connectors meet the latest performancerequirements of MIL-DTL-38999

MIL-DTL-38999 Series I isa bayonet coupling subminiature configuration with high contactdensity, ideal for smaller wire gauge, general-purpose applications. These environment-resisting connectors are 100% scoop-proof. Pins arerecessed in elongated shells to prevent the possibility of bendingcontacts when plugs are scooped into the mating receptacles.

MIL-DTL-38999 SeriesII connectors feature a bayonet coupling mechanism with lowerprofile design and rear-removable crimp contact retention system. Theseconnectors were designed for military and commercial applications wherethe prime requirements are lower profile and lighter weight.

MIL-DTL-38999 SeriesIII connectors are the newest cylindrical connectors designedfor highest performance capabilities used in both general purpose andsevere environment applications. D38999 connectors feature animproved "one turn" coupling system, utilizing a self-locking acmethread. Acme threads provide coupling durability, while thicker wallsections and great coupling surface area improve strength and shockresistance.

  • MIL-DTL-38999 connectors are available in awide range of shell materials and finishes. Aluminum shells are offeredin electroless nickel, olive drab cadmium and bright cadmium.
